What is Tanka?
A 31 syllable poem similar to Haiku
It has 5 lines, following the pattern 57577
Tanka poetry
is a very fun style
Brevity is key
To express a good idea
yet still evoke emotion
We thought that trying to encapsulate the life of someone you admire in Tanka form would be a great exercise in creativity.
